Well, that process looks familiar.  :-)

What brand of engraver is that?  The auto-focus nub hangs in a way I've never seen before.

Btw, I recommend cleaning it post etch with a bit of flux remover.  That works well for me.  Cleans up the residue well.

I can't recall the brand. I'll check next time.

I plan on lasering the enclosure for the SMD Deep Blue Delay that I bought from you. I figured it would be a fitting finish for a board from you ;)

I hope you have deep pockets....The other laser engraver was $20,000. And the guy told me a funny story on how they got it.

A guy would come in once, maybe twice, a year to get some stuff lasered and his wife got mad at him for it. So what does the guy do?    He goes out and buys a $20,000 laser engraver. :icon_eek:

So much money just to piss off his wife   :icon_lol:

I actually have had much better success laser etching powder coated boxes.  In fact, I won't etch painted boxes anymore.

The reason is that I get considerably better results by cleaning it post-etch (or in between passes) with flux remover.  In a pinch I'll use alcohol.  Powder coat is wonderful resilient and can take it.  The flux remover tends to damage panted finishes.
