Hey folks,

I am relatively new to building pedals. I am currently trying to build a fuzzrite clone by the way of this diagram.

I did it, and it functions. However, there is an outrageous amount of high end noise (usually louder than the effect itself) Do you guys have any suggestions on what i might be able to do to make this function without this nonsense?

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

"high end noise" You mean hiss, like steam escaping? Or whine, like a high pitched beeeeep?

i would liken it more to a very high pitched steam escaping type noise with a little radio noise mixed in. I used shielded cable from the jack to the switch (ran out so not to the pcb).

So the noise is constant?

What's your power filtering like?

Turns out it was the power in my test area... I went to my rehearsal space and it performed perfectly through my rig. So... problem solved I guess!

Thanks anyhow!

nothing to do with the noise, but the 22K is missing

always think outside the box
