Hi,

This might be a beginner's question. But does anyone know what this sign means? I mean the circle around the wire.

That means that a shielded wire was used. Notice how the circles are tied to GND in both pics. The shields on those wires are tied to GND.

Another thing to note....

If you use shielded wiring, be sure to only tie ONE SIDE of the shield to Ground. DO NOT tie the other shielded end to Ground. Just cap it..... unless you fancy shortwave radio broadcasts in your audio chain!  :icon_eek:  ;D
