Any suggestions where I can score the LDR's.  Ive got a smallbear basket ready for checkout but I cant find the 2-24k's

italianguy63

I bought some LDR's from Tayda to make some recent vactrols...

The values varied.. you can get a bunch cheap, and match them probably.  ???

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

PCB arrived in the mail today, thanks Rob!

Incidentally I've built both an ugly face and a mutron phasor II with tayda LDRs with great results. I don't have an original phasor to compare, but there was no matching going on! worth a try I reckon.

How much to ship to Canada?

soggybag

Wow, great work. Super neat. Are you shipping PCBs to the states?

deadastronaut

hi guys , firstly, i'm away from home at the moment (newcastle/benton to you northerners ;))

sadly mrs asto's lovely mum passed away on saturday a few days after we arrived up here, and we have had a lot to sort out as you can imagine.

anyway, i brought mrs astros laptop with us, and just had to buy a crappy wifi dongle, just to get online..
hopefully by the time i get home the pcbs will be delivered and ready to post out to you guys.
(postage worldwide is included in the £11.00 GBP btw ok) 8)  (yes that includes canada  ;))

anyway...

before i left home i quickly had to have a breadboard fix, and breadboarded a delay with the filters too, and sounded excellent, so theres another project to get my head around, i'll likely experiment with a dual VCF on it too which i breaded ages ago so know it works fine....ahhhhh too much in my head again ::) and i sorely miss my breadboards and tinkering..  :-\
but hopefully normal service should be resumed as soon as possible..

cheers guys, back soon ok.  ;)

Greatest sympathies for your Mum in law Rob.
Beginning to understand your devotion to the breadboard. Got myself a stupid small one and wonder why I've not played before

cheers man,

yeah i really miss my guitar n breadboard...its gonna  be 2 weeks total without a strum
or tinker arghhhhhhhhhhh...........i had to get a dongle just to remain sane...i just cant sit and watch inane shit on the tv.
it does my f.....g head in, if i hear one more ad for f....g insurance , or some girl singing along with acoustic as lamely as possible
over an advert i'll tear my own head off ....arghhhhhhhh...

anyway...breathe......................breathe......................... :)

whenever i have a clear board, i tend to try lots of the little building blocks just to refresh my head
for when i need them...then usually dive into an idea...

a TB breadboard is a must tool for anyone into sound tinkering for sure , great fun too. 8)

anyway i'll be back from my lunar mission soon... 8)

Condolences Rob.

If you need to make a little music to stay sane, there is a lot you can do online. I always find myself playing with this: http://tonematrix.audiotool.com/

Dude, tomorrow is my wife's birthday too!

I always thought this was a pretty special place, but now it's getting spooky too!  Happy birthdays to Mrs A and Mrs D.  Hope Cragside is a bit of a welcome distraction for your wife, Rob.
