Hi everyone,

Regarding a current production Gcb95 crybaby, will any typer of zener diode work in the power section as long as its rated a 9.1v or higher?
Ive got some 1n4739a zener diodes rated at 1watt and 9.1v's. Will these diodes work?

Thanks everyone!

It is always good to see the schematic.

However 1 Watt is surely ample for anything that fits in a pedal.

I looked at the schematic but couldnt find any of those diodes local. Im not against ordering some online but i just prefer supporting local private businesses whenever possible and these were all they had

9.1v, period. Not 9.1v or higher. A zener in the power section is probably there to make sure the power supplied does not rise higher than 9.1v. (Based on your question I'm assuming the schematic actually says 9.1v).

Yes, definitely. They're the correct voltage and can handle plenty of power.
