Hey all,

So I'm working with a nixie smps at the moment, but I'm noticing that I don't seem to have any 2.2uF caps that are at 450V. There's a chance that I might have another high-voltage capacitor, but if I do, it's more likely to be something like 50uF or 100uF. Would I be ok with that kind of a value or are there any other ways I can get around it?

Cheers,
N

A circuit diagram of the nixie your working with would help to help you.

it's C4 in this. I've seen it at 2.2uF, and 4.7uF in various smps diagrams. I have neither, and I'm having a good rummage for a high voltage cap. :(
