I seem to recall that an LFO will need its own bias supply because the voltage at it is not steady once it's connected to the LFO. I don't know if it's sufficiently isolated with this design but it might be. R25 provides some isolation.

If you want to get rid of a couple parts parts:

What's R3 for? Putting your JFET gate at 4.5V is highly unusual.
Put R6 to the collector of Q2 and you can ditch R5, or you could connect just R6 to Vb maybe.
I think C4 can be removed and your op amp could be biased by the source of Q1.
I'm not sure why R11 is there but maybe it's fixing a problem I haven't thought of.

Thanks Jon

I remover R3 with no detriment.

The lfo has its own Bias network on the breadboard right now.
I did try it biased via Vb and it screwed with the decay.
R11 is not totally needed.
C4 cannot be removed because of the difference in voltages between the op amp and Q1 as I recall. from a previous experiment.

"Put R6 to the collector of Q2 and you can ditch R5, "
I tried but couldnt make it work for me. Maybe i did it wrong. The transistor wasnt biased anymore.

or you could connect just R6 to Vb maybe."
This works but introduced some noise that wasnt there before.

Thanks so much. Thats a couple of parts less

Thanks John It means a lot.
I couldnt have even contemplated ever even working on such a project without you all.

Seriously good sounding. Good work everybody!

I wuz gunna say "what's that quacking I hear around the 5:10 mark?", but then you fx_OFF and it quacked on bypass again, so maybe it's me ears.

but is sounds good. looks like you've really taken to those slide switches, too.

Thanks Swans fan.
Yer those switches are a bit of a faff to fit and not much of a space saver but i like the look for now and the'yre super cheap.

I really like slide switches, although mostly for option switches that I won't be operating much. Takes ages to fit the screws -  really fine thread and x3 longer than they need to be.
Rocker switches would be my preference over toggle to be honest, but most on the market are power switches & too big.

Kipper4

True that Jim.
cutting neat holes. Drilling and threading. Cutting down the bolts. filing the bolt heads so they dont obstruct the switch function. mounting. I probably spent more time doing the switches than the rest of the box prep.
I wish there where some value options on switches like the old mutron ones.

years ago I bought a bag of real cheap rocker switches, SPDT, but the problem is, they are basically the panel mount type without a thread and a plastic rocker fitted, and long right-angle PCB pins. a real bugger to fit, skwar hole or not.

Picture please or a link so I (we) can see what we're talking about.
Thanks

Although when it did stall more it brings a clarity to single note and even chords that makes them stand out more.
It's a bit of a pedal that you wouldnt use all the time anyway. Just for a special effect.
I really need to stick a fuzz up front of it too. just cause Jimi Photon would.

dude.... you prophetic mindreader......lol this project is exactly what i was trying to explain in my tardfounded way yesterday. i made popcorn and am reading it as it goes... outstanding work with you and DA and Jon and the rest.

you guys farkink rock
