It's not bad. About as difficult as a 1590. It does leave more burrs that have to be removed. And if you're drilling them on the back side of the lid, it can be difficult to get them off depending on what you use. I normally drill from outside the enclosure (of course). With 1590s and a step bit, the holes usually come out nice and clean so there's no problem. But with my sloped enclosure, I ended up with long strands of aluminum still stuck to the inside. Due to the way the box is shaped, I couldn't use my drill on the inside to clean up the holes. So I used a variety of hand tools to try and cut/scrape/sand/pull them off. I got them pretty clean but it took some work. The metal is soft enough to drill easily, but I think that's what creates the burrs.
