Is there a way to use a spdt on off on as an on/on

wired like this, seems like it would work

The way I read you design makes it look like the switch is not needed at all. All three wires are connected together regardless of switch position. I'm not sure i understand what you're trying to accomplish? The on/off/on switch has a middle position (three positions in total, middle lug to left lug, middle to nothing and middle to right) and the on/on switch has only two (middle to left and right). No matter how you wire the switch it will always have that middle position. Is this what you're trying to eliminate?

I'm sure you already know a lot of what I've written but maybe if you could explain the application and the goal of your design someone could give you a better answer.

The simplest (and sole) way is to toggle more firmly the switch lever.. :icon_wink:
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..
