Re-thinking The Ursa Minor Breadboard And Other Kits
« on: November 05, 2016, 12:22:38 AM »
My kit for this hasn't sold as many as I'd like, so I have made a few changes. The kit now includes a small breadboard. Here is what the basic layout looks like:

You also get with it an NPN germanium transistor and a silicon "dot" for experiments; these devices don't sound quite like anything else, and they are otherwise hard-to-find.

I have re-worked the How-To article with improved pics and more detail in the instructions.

If you need help shopping for individual pieces, there's a bill of materials at the end of the article.

My next project is a No-Molex build in the Bare Box#1 to reduce the cost of going from breadboard-to-box. I just got the prototype PCBs from OSH Park and will post the project ASAP.

Adding the breadboard is a great idea.  The article is very good too.  I hope this goes well for you, Steve.
