Box of Rock with BS250's?

The BOR is a cool circuit, but at full gain (or modded for more gain), it's pretty noisy.  Can anybody think of a reason why a PNP version using BS250's (running off of a voltage inverter) would not be preferable?  Or is there something inherent to the BS250 that makes it ill-suited for the BOR circuit?

Hi,

Andy (Fancy Lime) posted a couple of designs based on BS250 here and there was a discussion about PMOS being less noisy.

I had this idea of using BS250s for a Box of Rock, but was distracted by other projects =)

Should be an easy project, but in my experience, you will only hear the difference if you make a proper PCB. Breadboards are noisy.
