some help needed
« on: August 06, 2017, 04:17:59 PM »
I finally got round to making my Super hard on pedal.

so im not convinced I have done any of this right.

I copied the diagram I had, and I did in the sense that

everything I was looking at was the copper  section of the veroboard, so from that the resister itself was on the non copper side,

i also did the soldering, some of it looks okay some of it doesnt, but I'm looking for some honest (hopefully not nasty) commentary to tell me if they think it will be okay, or if ive ballsed it up and will need to start again?

Without having seen the original layout and schematic I can't verify, but I'm looking at those 3 big globs of solder on the upper 2 rails.
Solder makes an electrical connection.
On your diagram, is that glob of solder supposed to be connecting the 2 strips? If not, you've got to get rid of some of that solder.

A good tool to buy is a solder sucker. Very useful for mistakes!
Have fun.

I would also say: beware of your soldering! I see many connections that can be done again.

Are you using a 60%Sn solder? Choosing the right solder is very important as it makes soldering wayyy easier.
