"Master we foundz it the way to Mordor!" as Gollem spoke.
Fat Germs circuit I made in another galaxy far far away. Anyone here remembers?
I dug up some soundclips of the bastard I made ages ago (don't mind the playing).
Mind you it was a Cort HSS strat into fat germs circuit, into cheapo solid state Park 5Watt 8 inch speaker amp.  It was recorded by mike on computer.
I thought it was astonishing a couple of germs and a cheapo sound box could make this sound.

Sounds good man, especially that hey joe sound. What tranny's did you use?
I think i might try the circuit out when im finished with my valve crasher (modded to within an inch of its life valvecaster)
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

cheers

AC128 ( I used PNP in mine, - supply and switched polarity of caps)
remember those 25k's are trimpots..... you should get 6-7 Volts at the Q1's collector as in a rangemaster and trim Q2 by ear.

Yes, I remember. I like it very much.
As you push the collectors higher you get wierd tones.
With some tweaks it works with silicons too.

Actually I never tried it with silicon, but it should work yes. More gain and edgy I suppose?

I tried it with MPSA42, or 2SC1213?, hfe~130-150, which I always use to siliconize germ circuits.
Just more edgy.
