I've obtained a kit from Musikding for the nifty looking Meatsphere, and I'm a little confused about how to solder in the rotary switches.  I've never used these switches before...can anybody help me figure out how to orient them on the circuitboard before I solder the lugs?  There are three prongs in the center of the switches (inside the outer lugs) but I'm not sure which one goes into which pad on the board.  Any help would be really appreciated.

It does not matter. Each of the three center lugs goes-to the four outside lugs nearest it. Turn it 120 degrees, they still go to the four nearest lugs. It is idiot-proof, a good thing.

When I blew-up the images you didn't link to, it did look like they didn't *quite* line-up rotated 120deg. You may find that mechanically it fits best one way.
