Various prices, 2-3-4 cents each if you buy 1000. Shipping is very reasonable from this company. I buy most everything in 1000 quantities, strat pickguard screw, allen set screws, switchcraft style jack washers. They are showing a few different thicknesses also.

The supplied lock washers are close to 1/2"/12.5mm OD which seems to also be the standard for common plain washers. In which case I will continue to use the tab washer with the tab cut off and shiny side showing.
Many suppliers I've found, even some specialist fastener companies, don't even bother to quote OD sizes. I'd prefer nearer to 10mm OD as I sometimes mount rows of switches at close to 10mm pitch.
I usually, these days, have unpainted panels, so I use only the supplied serrated lock washer under the nuts - visually, the OD of that washer is a good match, but they are a loose clearance fit on the bushing and always go a bit off-centre when the nut is tightened.

Incidentally, I never asked how to use anti-rotation devices. I've known about that for over 30years! If you read my very first post -  isn't it obvious that I knew what they were?
I originally asked about getting a nice plain washer to show on the outside. The reason I let my thread lie all this time was that I was completely baffled by some of the responses as if my question was completely unreasonable. Sometimes I think I must live an a different universe. I know I'm not the only one who doesn't use the tabs.

Accidentally found this...
https://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/M6_Stainless_Steel_Washer/p847124_21429668.aspx
Of which it says...
QuoteM6 Stainless Steel washer with reduced diameter. Can be used on toggle switches instead of the locking or tabbed washer usually supplied.
10mm OD.
See? It is a thing!
