Rocket/3 tran fuzz - is this normal?

This fuzz is the noisiest fuzz I've ever heard on the breadboard.  An overpowering high pitched whine.  I've disassembled and checked values.
I know this thing is said to have great sustain - so this might be normal open-breadboard behavior.  Has anyone breadboarded the rocket?

Got a diagram for that Blackie please.
Might just be a case of putting a small pf value shunt on the input.
Ma throats as dry as an overcooked kipper.

Yeah I don't remember any squealing but I never did much breadboarding with the Rocket - I used sockets and pots to adjust everything.
