Replacing the Zvex Distortron subs switch with a pot?

So the Distrotron's subs switch tries to tame the bassiness of the pedal by switching in and out a couple caps, with varying degrees of success depending on who you talk to. I've got a PCB all ready to build up and I've not been pleased with that switch in the abstract for a while--until I saw the "Body' control on Aion Electronic's Flare (basically their version of the Fuzz Factory). It basically augments the 100n cap between Q1 and Q2 with a 100k pot that controls a 10uf cap in parrallel. Schematic is here: https://aionelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/aion-flare-fuzz-factory-documentation.pdf

My basic question is, can I do the same thing with the Distortron? Schematic here: http://i40.tinypic.com/kejina.png

Basically replace the Subs switch with a 56n cap and a 100k pot with a 1uf cap in parallel? I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to the actual design part. In the Box of Rock that whole coupling cap section before the tone control is a 1uf electrolytic, which is actually also how the Frantone Cream Puff is configured before feeding into the tone stack.

The 'body' control has been around for a long time on fuzzes and elsewhere as a simulated variable cap. And yes you can use it instead of the sub switch. 100k in series with 1u, paralleled by 56n. You should experiment with pot value - a different value might work better.
