Hi.

If youre tinkering with the electra circuit for bass, you can try some modifications made by earthquaker devices with their speaker cranker or the southampton fifth gear. Both seem to work very well with bass.

1) asymetrical clipping by adding a diode. You will lose some distortion and gain some volume. But you already have your boosted "clean blend" which, imo, seems more interesting to play with.
2) Gain pot, added in serie with your 680 ohm resistance between emitter and ground.
3) "Bias" Pot, added in serie with your 3.3K ohm resistance between collector and 9V.

I would recommend buying a breadboard. You can do all your mods without having to touch a soldering iron. Try the base circuit first,it's good to get to know the fundamental circuit before you mod it out. Just a few recommendations, cheers :icon_biggrin:
Btw Electra distortion was my 1st build too 8)

Thanks,  do have a breadboard. Will be testing some combinations if I have enough parts to choose from. I'll try and post some updates on my build progress.

Now all I'm doing is waiting for my parts order to arrive!
