Hi everyone!
I've been working on a project for a while using a Super Nintendo controller to make synth sounds with an Teensy 3.2. Everything works great, and now I want to add a mode where I can modulate my guitar signal. So what I'd like to is make a gate that is keyed by the Teensy. Kind of like a killswitch like I've seen Tom Morello or Buckethead use. So my question is, how do I make the gate? I understand the digital side, I can make a 1 to 0 type of source from the Teensy, and even I think I can make a smooth analog curve go from 1 to 0 from the Teensy, but I need it to control SOMETHING that stops and starts the audio stream from my guitar. Would this be a transistor gate? I'm just not sure how to make the analog portion of the actual gate. I know it is simple, just need some pointers on where to start. thanks!!
