Sustain (kill switch?) pedal

Hello, guys!
I'm planing to buy to have some fun the NUX Loop Core (not the Deluxe).

There's a way to switch the phrase you recorded pressing a button on the pedal, but stopping to play, of course.
The pedal has an output jack where you can connect a "sustain pedal" for keyboard. NUX suggest this model: WTB-004 http://www.cherubtechnology.com/product/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=246

Here the Looper instructions. Point 3.

To move up and down between the phrases we have to use two sustain pedal and a Y cable.

I think that a sustain pedal is simply a momentary footswitch (normally open) that short tip and sleeve of the jack. It is? If it really so I should be very simple to build. And I can use just one box with a stero jack and connect two SPST momentary footswitch.

About the WTB-004 model of sustain pedal, theres a thing I can get. It is "Polarity switch for universal compatibility" and there is a 2-way switch. What it does?
NUX just warn: "Do not switch the slide-switch of the WTB-004 after youo connect it to the Loop Core."

Thanks!

heres my demo on the diy loopcore ''optional'' control footswitch....

stereo plug/socket...and 2 dpdt's.

Thanks! ;)
I missed this video.
So, it should be exactly how I thought the extra footswitch was.
You say "2 dpdt's", I'm looking at the footswitch layout linked in the video and I guess two SPST momentary footswitch are ok. Normally open, and when you press it you get the continuity.
Is it right?

Update:
Ok, I looked again the layout, I guess DPDT are not "normally open" or "normally closed", because when you not press it one side is open while one side is closed. And I notice the description about it.
I see some clones of the Boss FS-6 footswitch, generally guys build it with a toggle switch for each footswitches and make them normally open or normally close. On the Boss this switches are called Polarity. While the mode Latch/Momentary switches I guess are really hard to get.

Another question for NUX Loop Core owner, please. :)
I have to buy a new PSU for this pedal, I want one cheaper than a Boss, but I don't want any noise of course. What's your PSU with this pedal?
What about Line6 (9v, 500mA)?

Yes, this Line6 should be fine. ::) It's not a Boss adapter, it's cheaper, but not super cheap, and Line 6 makes stomp pedals, multi effects and even those big pedals multi-switch, etc.
I hope I will have noise issues with it!

If somebody else use the NUX Loop Core tell me how you power it up, please. I really don't want to use battery! :P
Thanks.

you want noise then ha ha ha  :icon_mrgreen:

i power mine with daisy chain on a 'cheap' regulated 9v 1 amp or my  2 amp psu and its fine...

Thanks, lucky guy! ;D

I bought a cheap PSU 18v 2000mA months ago, because I want to use it with a 5w solid state amp with several circuits inside (two preamps, booster and relais), I didn't try it, I'm scared, I tried it once with a overdrive circuit and I got more hum then my trusted old 9v Boss PSU.

Thomann has a pair of ultra cheap PSU, I can read some good reviews and some bad reviews about those PSU.
(I need a not expensive simple PSU, not multiple output one.)

I'm sorry to say this, now. ::)
I read a few days ago on this page http://stinkfoot.se/archives/3900 (maybe a bit quickly) that the consuption of the NUX Loop Core was 300mA, and for this reason I need a new PSU.
Then I saw casually the curernt draw of the Boss RC-3 (on this is based the Nux) is 70mA, and even on the official Nux Loop Core Deluxe page the current draw declared is 65-70mA. I didn't expect that the consuption of the basic version is higher than that, but I can't found any official page where we can read the current draw of the NUX Loop Core.
At least I found this https://www.tdpri.com/threads/nu-x-pedals.385066/page-2 where a guy measured the consuption of the pedal: 60-70mA.

At this point: should I buy a new PSU? Actually, I don't need it, I never had problem with my trusted and old Boss 200mA, but a new PSU will be a sort of a extra gift. :D
