I don't know if software fits also here ,but in that case here is my question:

For those in luck to have played the real thing versus this software,

do you think they nailed it,so you really better use it instead od recording

with "the real amps"?

I use digtial based effects exclusively in my live playing. I'd never heard of these guys so I  looked them up. Looks very interesting! As far as recording, I'm still a firm believer that really good modelling is so close to the real thing, it's perceptually identical once it's in a mix, and you get the massive versatility of reamping by going this route.

By perceptually identical, I mean that in a mix people cannot hear the difference between digitally simulated equipment and the real thing on a recording.

My doubt comes mainly from the instagram fake guitar discussion.

But the Abasi plugin sounds killer.

Yes in a live context, I have no doubt you better use a software.
