> I've drawn the tone stack already, but with your values it does nothing

You must model the tube output impedance. Else C9 has nothing to work against. The simulated power source would pull Hoover Dam out of the river, and laughs at a mere 10nFd.

I also think C9 could be much bigger to give a strong effect (100nF may be too much).

Because of scaling (which I can't figure out) it looks like a small slump, but is >20dB above 2kHz.

Almost all the action of Tone happens at the right end of slider.

I tried these values too.. still nothin'.

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

OK guys... after days of screwing with this.. I'm still nowhere.

I took Mark's advice, and wired in the Papa-Bear version of the SWTC circuit.

Still, NADA.  I have done it both with and without the 1uF cap.

What gives?  This is beyond frustrating at this point.

My 2 cents is "not wired according to plan".

"No Effect" after much mucking strongly suggest your ground is not grounded.

OK.. crickets.

I guess I will do what everyone else has done, and just remove the tone control completely and revise the design again...  PUNT.

Something to do when I get back from X-mas break.
