Making a little "3 in 1" stompbox
« on: February 05, 2020, 11:35:35 AM »
Looking to make a stompbox with these 3 features on it...

Guitar input > >>VARITONE SWITCH>>TREB/MID/BASS EQ > FOOTSWITCHABLE DISTORTION >  OUT into amp

Can anybody recommend an EQ circuit that fits this?

It will act as an EQ for the input and NOT for the distortion. Therefore when the distortion is switched off, the EQ and Varitone will still be adjustable.

I'm hoping the whole unit will run on a 9v battery and/or adaptor, can this present any complications?

Thanks a lot

How do i modify this to take away the mid switch? do i just subtract the switch AND the capacitor or leave the capacitor and leave the switch?

It depends on what cap value you wish to have..

With SW closed, respective cap is effectively shorted (by-passed) so the only cap left is the one in series after the switch..
With SW open, effective capapacitance is the 220*150/(220+150) pF for SW1a & (33*22/(33+22) nF for SW1b respectively..

Probably good idea to test and see which  position you like. Switch open, leave both caps in. Switch closed, jumper those caps.
