Hi all,

I'm trying to generate the below two logic "out" pulses using the "in" pulse, in the most elegant way possible. I know the easy option is a microcontroller but figure there must be a simple-ish solution using a 556 (Dual 555 timer) or logic gates and a couple of capacitors etc. I can get the two pulses I need using TWO 556s but it seems clumsy.

Any elegant ideas? Sorry for the terrible diagram!

i really recommend op amps for jobs like this.

the first pulse is 5ms
the second one is 48ms
the 3rd starts after 18ms and stops at 21

with some tweaking of the knobs you can reach more precision.

cheers,
Iain
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

you could check out the 74C221 or 4538/74HC4538 or other type dual re/triggerable monostables.
don't make me draw another line.
