Hey everyone...
First post cos I've just started pedal building so thought I'd start with something simple... the colorsound one knob fuzz...

Which I've done and it works yay..

But then I thought I'd test myself and transfer the schematic onto a breadboard to see if I understand how things are working... which it does..

EXCEPT...

when I connect the 1k resistor to negative (ground) at which point all sound through the circuit stops. unconnect it and it works?!? I've checked a few schematics and they all have the 1k to ground next to the capicitor to ground...

seems totally illogical to me

any ideas why?

heres the schematic I started with (R6 is the issue)

NB C3 is left out

Thanks everyone

PS sorry put this in the wrong section... won't do it again!!

It should need R6 connected to work, you must have something else hooked up wrong.

Welcome to the forum!

Please, post some photos..
To you, buffered bypass sucks tone.
To me, it sucks my balls.

Welcome, also..  :icon_wink:

You might connect the "wrong" side of R6 to GND..
(by jumpering the upper leg instead of lower one..)
