Mod diy verb deluxe reverb clicking noise when stomping

Just built a MOD DIY verb deluxe reverb. It works nicely but ammplifies the clicking mechanical noise whenever you step on it. I tried soldering a 1M resistor to the output jack and still no difference at all. Anyone?

try a 1m pull down resister at input.? lots of pedals do that.
