The UBE Screamer schematic shows B500k gain pot would this be better as C500k? The volume pot is also shown as B100k was there a reason for this? I have a board ready and C500k and A100k pot on hand!

As a follow question. The gain calculation for the first stage would be the resistance at the input divided into the resistance across the feedback path, is that correct?

Ibanez TS uses A500K for gain, B100K for volume.  I think A100K for volume would be an improvement.  C500K for gain would be all bunched up.  But you could wire it backwards, call it a "Cleaner" control.  Or just use it until your next parts order.

U1B U1C figure a little differently because one side goes down and the other side goes up. This with a LINear pot makes a semi-log response which is pretty neat. With a tapered pot it might go from max to 'silent' in 20 degrees.

Thanks for the replies! I think a can dig up a linear pot and add some wires. I have one with the legs on I was hoping to use up.
