Use of Incandescent lamps in distortion circuits

Please post links of schematics where small incandescent lamps are used in distortion circuit

Either due to time constants of resistance change with signal envelope

Or Non-linearity of resistance with current

or some other innovative application (Effect On/off indicator does not count :)

It uses the bulb as a compressor/limiter... not really a distortion, but it does have a resistance change with signal envelope so I guess it counts... :icon_mrgreen:

i used to experiment with a bulb a lot, mainly to pull more current through an opamp at the attack before its reached max heat, this higher current lowers the output voltage of the op amp, and simulates sag, but i couldn't get it to work subtle enough, it was more of a caricature of real sag...
