Okay, went there, and the only thing I thought worth modifying was removing the link to the website I used to have, courtesy of AMPAGE.  I don't think the link is valid anymore, so no point keeping it.  Don't see much point in avatars or signatures for myself.  So, I'm good.  But thanks for the info.

It's weird when there's this whole other world visible to others that you didn't even know existed.  I feel like Roddy Piper in the film "They Live". when he puts on the glasses.

Fantastic movie including the best one-liner in movie history! Point or no point, there's an idea for your avatar and signature. How do we need to bribe you to make that happen?

I see many other avatars but where Gary's/garcho's would be, there's a avatar sized square outline with a very small image icon in the top left corner, has not always been the case.

The same happens here for Iain's avatar. Garcho's is visible here.

I appreciate your motivation, Andy.  But I think I'll stick with plain vanilla civil-but-witty posts.  It's what got me here.  Should probably be good for a few thousand more.

Sounds like a challenge! Let's bombard Mark with such civil-but-witty avatars that he can't possibly fail to be charmed by one and decide that it should be the new visual clue to Hammer-wisdom on DIYSB!

Got it, Iain! Your avatar is actually a picture of a avatar that doesn't load for some reason. So maybe curious users keep trying to "refresh the avatar to see it", when they're actually seeing it. Very clever

Most of the web has switched to https protocol.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTPS

In the last year several browsers have depreciated http in favor of https.

Firefox with my current settings will display an http page but with a warning.

In this case (after unwarranted investigation) it is clear that bouron.org.uk is not going to be asking me for passwords which others might eavesdrop.

If I had non-https connections blocked, I'd see nothing at that site, not even the bunny image.

I don't doubt it.   I've seen warnings but not blocks but now you mention it there were a few issues when this forum changed from http to https.

the bunny loads on a separate tab, after confirmation of a pop-up, the site only loads a background texture and some white text, and the image you posted here directly doesn't show
