Are those the same chips? I'm trying to determine what matters in the title and description of IC chips when seeing the different options on Mouser (which has tons of possibilities). I'm building a DAM Buzzatron and it just calls for a 7660.

Thanks!

The SIPAZ version has a higher input tolerance rating, 12, instead of 10. That might be worth the dollar more than the CPA.

Suffixes are usually about temperature ratings and and that kind of thing, the functions usually stay the same, as do pinouts, but you can't be sure until you look at the datasheet. Mouser makes all those datasheets nice and easy to find and click on, that should be the first place you look.

EDIT: I mentioned those two versions because I assume you want DIP packages.

The "S" suffix is an important one for us: it means the chip has the clock boost function, which takes it out of the audio band (otherwise you'd hear it whining).

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

Just go with a LT1054 and forget about it :)

Perfect! I did pick up an lt1054 as well. I'll give that a go to compare.

Thanks!
