7PDT for AB looper switcher vocal pedal ?

Hi, i would like to turns that lopper switcher guitar pedal into a lopper switcher vocal pedal.
So i will replace all the jacks by XLR female and male.
But i was told that the 4PDT won't havé enough pole and i'm gonna need like 3x7 poles. I was also told that i can find a toggle switch like that but not a footswitch.
But i can't find any switch with more than the 4PDT ..
Is this switch even real or is there another solution ?

I agree that multiple 4P2T relays is most practical.

Yes, i have to vocal multi effect that i want to use seperatly
Ok i'll go with relay. I'm gonna make research cause i don't know anuthing about relays

Is it one multieffect or multiple effects that you want to bypass/switch?
Do these effects not have bypass or MIDI control? Because an ATtiny and a single pole switch is much cheaper and more elegant than multiple relays and XLR connectors.

Could you tell us exactly what you're trying to do?

If you need two switches worth of connections, then why not just use two switches?
Install them side by side and make a connector that attaches to both so you can stomp two at once.
Why complicate something simple?

I have some 8P4T rotary switches I bought from a surplus place decades ago, if that'll work for you.  Yes 8 different sets of contacts that can each be sent to 4 different spots.

It's two multieffect pedals. (the looper in the pic is for guitar, this is why i'm trying to build a new one for vocals)
The AT tiny needs to be programs (if i understand it right) and i don't have the tools to program a relay ...

Ok i sort of get the idea but if i have two switches, it means it is a A+B box ?

Never heard of a 7pdt switch but 8PDT is real  :)

Oh thx ! It may be the solution for my pedal. But still i dont understand how it works. It is different from a 3PDT or a 4PDT.

This switch works i.m.h.o. the same as a 3PDT or 4PDT, it's only bigger with more poles. But there's always the data sheet,

The switching is explained there in detail, it even says they also have a 10PDT switch (which may be handy if you want to add some leds).

So i'm correct 0 is the common and it goes like that : position 1 in green et position 2 in pink. Is that right ?

Yep, that's how I read it also. The common pins on the bottom of the switch and other ones on the top half. It's doesn't look sturdy enough for stomping with your foot but may you could use a switch actuator.

Here's a poor drawing, sorry i tried to make it as clear as possible. So if the the drawing is good, a 6PDT is enough, am i right ?
And i still have place to put LED ?

Hi Arthur,

I'll take a look at it  :). The two jacks on the bottom half are input and output (one output)? Wouldn't is be simpler to connect both outputs from the effects directly to the mixer (providing your mixer has enough inputs)? It would make the switching a lot simpler and give you more control over the sounds.

My pedal have two loops so i would like the signals are send back in the A/B box and then switched to one ouput.

Damn it ! I've make another mistake, the xlr at the left is not a SEND but a IN.
When you say mixer you're talking about a mixing table ?
Honestly i don't know if it would be simplier, i don't have enough experience or knowledge ahah
Can i ask you to make drawing, when you'll have time ? there's no rush :)

My mistake, I overlooked you switch the two effect outputs also. I think your schematic is OK, but I'll take a look tomorrow.
Btw, here's a page of someone building a similar pedal,

This is a simpler  A/B box, but stereo so if you read the jacks as follows this wiring schematic should work for you:

C1=input, C2=output, A1=Send1, A2=Return1, B1=Send1, B2=Return2. Basically everything after the returns is mirrored from the stuff before the sends. Note this schematic uses 2 DPDT switches so without the leds it should be possible with one 4PDT
