So I built a "poor man's Vidami" (Foot switchable Youtube controller)- from an old USB keyboard which works pretty well!  Happy to share pics/details if anyone is interested.

A friend gave me a Roku remote control and asked if I could make 3 of the buttons controllable by footswitch.  Here's my question.  The buttons on the PCB board are clickable round buttons- similar to the center button on the old Board Game called TROUBLE for those who remember.  Can I just scrape at the leads next to the buttons and wire two wires to the lugs of a momentary SPST switch to get that button's command?  I've attached a few pics- specifically the one with the red circle and two arrows pointing to two leads.

Thanks for any help!

The little switches are nothing more than metal disks that complete the circuit under them.  Pretty basic! Figured it out!
