hello everyone, I have time for simulation (no time for practical assembly yet). I tried once again to use the transistor as a triode. The AMZ mosfet booster circuit was taken as the basis, only the gain control is used, as on a real preamp. I decided to use the rule that the transistor gives a gain of 1/2 of the triode (this is the maximum before entering the limit at a voltage of 18 volts). Drain resistor 7.5kOm, Source 2.7kOm Cap 470n with R1.5k series, this gave me a net gain of about 17.5dB. The voltage applied to the gate resistor is 2.5-4.5V, in this range you can set the offset between hot and cold. can anyone else check? i used multisim and the simulation looks good.
