The schematic has an error in the drawing of the power/input jack. This was admitted on the forum, but apparently never fixed.

Good morning all,

Did a few more checks with that max1044 (in my build actually a 7660s), just to verify everything is hooked up where it should be.

Also including a picture of the front of the board before wiring, if this helps at all.

On a related note, where are some of the best places to order online replacement parts, specifically these ICs?  North America poster here.

First try contacting BYOC. Many posters on the forum with your exact problem received replacement charge pumps.

Small Bear, carefully curated, great for special items
Tayda, standard parts but generic asian suppliers, cheap, shipping pretty fast
Mouser, but beware the enormous catalog full of surface mount and other inappropriate parts

Wanted to give a quick update for everyone in my boost pedal saga.

Turns out it was the power regulating chip.  I was able to pop a new one in and now the thing's working fine  :)

The PCB is definitely in a bit of rough shape, but being this was my first build, i'm glad i was able to get a successful outcome eventually, and learned a lot.

Thanks again everyone for all the help
