In fact, I had to change 3 because silly me, I made an stupid mistake and cut the legs of the wrong IC. So I had to replace IC5 as well, that was working fine. :-[

I would check around that D5 protection diode. The 1N400x may be ok, but it's not unknown for the PCB track to have fused out instead. A parallel protection scheme cannot be proved to be present and effective unless you test for the reverse path via the diode.

thanks for the advice. As soon as I open the pedal again I will check it.
