low part count sample-and-hold

I have a diy oberheim VCF lying around for a couple of years or so and really enjoy the random function.
 I breadboard another filter that sound great with less parts and I wonder if there are some others ways (less parts !) to control this filter with such a random source, the oberheim sh circuit use as much parts as the whole filter...
