Hi, i've seen in many DIY sites speaker and amps simulators. In which cases you can use these circuits except of recording? Is it a good idea to built a simulator in your guitar amp to make it sound more like the expensive and rare amp you always dreamed? Where is the best place to put a simulator ( amp or cabinet) in my audio chain? Any recommendations for simulator projects?

In general, speaker simulators are for the output of a pedal or amp at *line-level*, so you can direct record without a cabinet and mic. Never plug the speaker output of your amp into one of these, they are not meant for that.

I thing guitar amp has limited freq response and tone curve, and some other differences compared hi-fi or full range P.A system, or any other audio system than gtr amp. If you play trough PA or listen your gtr from hifi monitors I think simulator may help.

yea, other than recording, you can use amp sim in a preamp going into a power amp/PA....
