I wanted to make custom cables for my pedalboard, and I thought about getting some switchcraft 90-degree 1/4" plugs. So I know the music store in town has them, they want 6 bucks and mouser ain't that much cheaper, I don't believe.
Any other manufacturers that put out a good quality product for cheaper?

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT USING THE RCA PLUGS - THEY LOOK LIKE THE ONES FOUND ON THE BACK OF YOUR STEREO - THE KIND USED TO PLUG IN A TAPE DECK, ETC.

IF YOU ARE MAKING THE PEDALS FOR YOURSELF AND WILL BE DAISY CHAINING THEM YOU REALLY ONLY NEED A 1/4 JACK AT THE INPUT OF THE CHAIN AND THE FINAL OUTPUT.  THIS COULD REDUCE THE PRICE.

JUST A THOUGHT

if you're really good with the soldering iron, Italian company Proel makes angeled teleplugs that are much cheaper ( about a third...). the only problem with them is that the isolation inside is plastic instead of nylon, so you have to be good at soldering...and fast... othervice they will melt. besides this little thing, they are as good as anything else...

i'll second the proel thing.  for anyone in new zealand, you can get them from Jansen (same ppl that used to make guitar amps) www.jansen.co.nz

they also make cheap DPDT stomp switches btw  :-)
