And want to interniw different Jfets etc?
 I use Longsocket [five or more pins in a row...
 I assign the pins to where they're connected in the schematic at these points:
  Pin 1 ['bottom pin']   source/emitter,
  Pin 2 [of the socket] gate/base,
  Pin 3  collector
  Pin 4 collector
  pin 5 toward Pos. rail in negative ground ckt.
            ..  [or whatever pin assignments you choose of course]
 Then just orient the leads [say D,G,S]  of whatever transistor in pins 1 through 3, then insert different fised R values in pins 4 and 5 to bias the different transistors you would like to try out.
