Long socket [EZ Q interview technique]

A socket [5 or more pins in a row] wired in perfboard like this
 Pin 1 connected to whatever the emitter'souce connetions are as stated in chosen schematic...
 Pin 2 Gate/ Base connections made to this socket hole.
 Pin 3 Collector/Drain and Pin 4 of socket connections made
 Pin 5 toward/to positive rail [in a neg ground ckt]
 Use pins 1-3 to correctly orient your different transistor leads connections...
 Use pins 4 and 5 to insert different R values for biasing whatever transistors you want to interview for that position.
 An accessory pot, [say 50k-100k] can easily be used to find the correct biasing R value for collector/drain by wiring its wiper and an outside lug to one side of a [two holes in a row] socket, the other outside lug to the remaing socket hole, plug the pots'ocket into pins 4 and 5 of the Longsocket, adjust Drain/collector to 4.5v[or to taste], pulle the pots'ocket, [without inadvertantly re-adjusting the pot] measure the pot's value and insert fixed resistor of ~that value.
