Some day ago there was short thread about some tuning machines. I promised to post a pic of another idea. It may not be very useful and clever thing to make one, as you can buy spiffy tuner with peanuts today, but anyhow...

Ok, just try to keep my promises, this is some lousy redraw from oooold electronics magazine from mid 70´s. It is just walking led display idea for quitar tuner or some other gadget for comparing freqs. Chips are TTLs, not all necessary connections (like power supply etc) or pin numbers and so but should be readable with help from some data sheets.

Frequencies should contain only fundamental component, so some filtering and smitt triggers and so on is needed for input. Original article suggests Mostek 50240 top octave divider for reference freq. I believe it might be easier to make it with computer and perhaps burn it on a CD or play a file through soundcard.
