Are you sure about this being a modded Tubescreamer?

Multiple gain stages designed to react like a good tube amp.

A Tube Screamer has only one gain stage

Tube amps get tighter and more focused as you turn up the gain, but so-called 'tube-like' pedals get looser and flabbier as their gain is turned up? & Sound remains tight and focused

This also doesn't sound tubescreamer-ish

I more looks like a multiple stage j-fet overdrive or something.

is sounds just like my modded tube screamer.   he claims to have multiple gainstages.  but couldn't answer a simple question i posed

Hi guys,

Thought I'd drop by and clear up the mystery,...

Firstly, the Tube Zone does not use a Tube. It's all solid-state. Overall, the signal is clipped 5 times using 3 different types of clipping devices. Amplification is done using a mixture of class A and class A/B stages.

It aint a modded TS :wink:

I was on the understanding that it's a multiple gain-stage distortion that uses all transistors, but I could be wrong.
All I know is, it sounds killer. It's a little dark for my taste, but even playing through a SS Carvin amp, I was really impressed.
