Aron - I've always wanted a Blender...
but then again, I like noise... and nobody likes to hear me play very much.

Darren,
You don't address me in your question-
but for the record,
I will not discuss what makes my circuts "tick" on a public forum.   No other builder does either.
Thanks,
Ed R.

aron

I wouldn't say "no other builder". There are lots of builders that address how their circuits work without going into details, but I think we get your drift. :)

these pedals look nice, seem solid and the sound clips are enticing. i don't think i've been this thrilled about a stompbox since i got my first big muff more than two decades ago! if the price in canadian $ isn't too steep, i'm gonna get one of those channel blenders.

Samuel

Anybody got $1500 they don't want to look at anymore? Seriously those things are amazing. Ed - I'm playing PowerBall everytime it goes over $50M, so it's really just a matter of time til you get an order from me...

(PS this is not a snide commentary about the price. Those pedals are unique and look fabulous. I'd plunk down the money for sure if I had it.)

Congratulations!!!!
your machines look great
keep the good work

Quote from: idlefactionthat trem has me stumped - it has a seperate LFO indicator LED for the two seperate speeds, but it lets you ramp between them?
has it got three LFOs in it, two just for the lights and another that actually does the AM?

I havn't seen whatever is referred to here. but here's one way:
Imagine having three LFOs, voltage controlled.
have a pot to get a voltage to set number 1 and another for number 2.

Now, have a ramp circuit (a slow voltage controlled panner would do, but ther eare more ingenious ways) that allows you to ramp from voltage 1 to voltage 2... and use that output to control LFO number 3.

Hmmm...Ed can you explain the octave up/octave up thing on the VFM?
I just don't get how that will do a whammy type effect.
Doesn't seem to me that you would get any pitch bend just a panning of two different pitches. Am I missing something there?
Looks like some cool toys for sure!!

I was very impressed by the delay, but I'm not sure if I'd really need TWO tremolo's in one box.  Certainly very cool looking, very versitile, very expensive effects, though!

Billy J,

You are correct,  you Do not get octave up/down by panning.
but....
If you place an octave DOWN pedal in the "heel loop"  and place an octave UP pedal in the "toe loop", and "work" the vfm-  then you have "analog whammy".
Is that clearer?
obviously all my text and diagrams need work,  and I Am working on them.
Thanks, Ed R.

Colin,

My thinking with the trem is this-
most designs give the option of doubling the rate or cutting it in half ( depending on how you want to look at it ).
But for me,  this wasn't that useful, I always wanted 2 different speeds.  If nothing else-  it saves you having to bend over and adjusting your trem speed from song to song.
the real beauty is switching speeds during a song,  and letting it ramp gracefully from slow to fast etc.
I'll get some new audio samples up as soon as I'm able.
what is there, was done under "deadline".
Thanks, Ed R.

I agree. It sounds really nice.
