More Meteor Modding

I did another simple mod to the Meteor to bring out more bass response. It was a little thin sounding. The mod is simply to sub the cap in the feedback loop with a different value. This and the voltage-lowering mod I mentioned a few days ago are now documented on the schematic. I also included a couple simple "before and after" soundclips to show what the bass boost will do. I suggest cranking it up and/or listening to them on decent speakers. It may not be real noticable on the typical computer speakers at low volume.

All this stuff can be found at my Meteor page here:

I'm gradually getting around to sprucing up my site a little.

Ansil, I have the EZface clip around somewhere. I think it's on my mac. I may put it back up in the future. Trying to conserve space on my sound page right now and keep it free (for me :D )

The pentode driver schem is up there.

Thanks, Dave. I'm using an '83 Hamer Sunburst. Dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and a Dimarzio PAF in the neck that has been re-wired for switching between single coil and parallel. (Weird... I know... When I get a strat, that goes back to stock humbucking PAF and I have some cleaning up to do removing switches and etc... :D )

BTW: I added a couple pics of my meteor box to the page. They are a little fuzzy looking, just getting the hang of this new camera so I will probably try to improve them as time goes on.

I will be gradually adding pics and other goodies to these pages so check back from time to time for updates. :D

Thanks for the interest. :D
