Uh I had it in there backwards for a few seconds enough for it to get
into the suspicious hot zone...I guess RS writer guy thought that looked like face down to him [how hard would it to write "face down"...well anyway I think I'm out the whole whatever it was two bux,
  It adjusts to wherever I want it BVoltage-wise, I set if for 9.11+ volts with the DMM, and tried the Sonic Dist with the regulator on it...no go...I'll get the new regulator chip probly tomorrow and see if it does the trick...
  I'm pretty sure theres a way to tell the pinout of the LM 317 because the diode checker gave readings like youd find if you were checking a good transistor every which way.
  Meanwhile the new Minibooster is Driving the AMZ Tone Control, in the box, and is ready for 2nd case scenario testing [big amp in my room] preliminary tests with the basement amp RCA Victor [Nice] and Magnavox 10's [better than nothing] were quite promising...

They are hard to kill, but yes, reversing is how you do it  :cry:
