haha I just took appart a fisher price tape player that I've had since I was like a baby, and ran my guitar through it.  The circuit had an lm389 amp in it...and sounds _great_.   Smooth, natural distortion, clening up when my guitar's volume is down around one or two.  Balanced responce.  Really, Really cool :-D.
