Was wanting to wire a toggle switch to a tubescreamer clone for comp cut  - bypassing the diodes (?). Where about on the circuitboard do I wire to the toggle switch  if I'm using GGG layout:

What do you mean by comp cut?
Bypassing the diodes will give you unity gain, which will dramaitically reduce the signal level compared with having the diodes "in".  Or do you mean you want to take the diodes out of the circuit, so there's no clipping?

I want to take the diodes out so there's minimal clipping. Can i wired it up to a switch to do that?

instead of putting the diodes into the board just solder one side of the diodes to the board... it doesn't mater which side.... probably the side where both the diodes are touching each other for simplicity...  solder a wire to the unconected ends of the diodes... put that wire on a spst switch with another wire on the second post of the spst switch to where you would've soldered the diodes... the switch will just break the circuit so that the diodes aren't connected giving you that comp cut sound...

Hi Dubs.  A TS will clip without the diodes (and not very pleasantly).  It'll hit the ground and supply limits.  The standard 4558 chip will only manage about 2V min and 7V max.  At low gain settings, you'll probably get away with it.

Thanks guys. Just wanted to see what the comp cut sounds like like on a fulldrive II pedal.  Is this what is done?
