It looks like the one that you can get for free with a $50 purchase at:

There's no brand name! It's probably a "Made In China" import piece of crap. You can get those things for $9.99 at Harbor Frieght.

I think a good multimeter is like an investment. Pay extra to get quality, reliability, and piece of mind.

I looked around and decided on this one:

Auto Ranging Multimeter with True RMS

There's a Sears just up the road from me.

no Hfe, though, which was the main reason I need a new one...

hmmm...I guess i'll keep searching.

I know that quality and stuff are important, but I plan on taking good care of mine.  I know I don't need a bullet-proof, dead-accurite Fluke $400 meter, but I was wondering just how crappy the e-bay ones are.  I guess pretty bad :-D.  Thanks.

I saw the subject line and thought that "DMM" was about cheap $30 Deluxe Memory Man pedals not Digital Multi Meter.  I got all excited for nothing

It has hFE if you look closely at the dial. It's the yellow stop, two from the bottom on the right.

The dial is pointing at Hfe as it stands ;)
I have an el-cheapo $10 DMM and it works for DC resistance, voltage, and current, but nothing larger than 200VDC, so I'll need to buy a better one once I start making my tube amp anyway. It also does Hfe and AC voltage but that's it. A good thing for someone on a budget. Like me. :|
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

yea sorry haha, the image didn't load before, and it didn't mention it in the description.

Sorry I added the pic after your post. It has just about everything. Only problem is that the legs have to be uncut on the trannys to make it down into the socket on the meter. I might take a PCB socket and solder long leads onto it for testing clipped ones.
