Is the Hot Cake a true bypass pedal?

Oh and I figured out the schematic if anyone is interested.

The circuit goes from the input to this big thick block of black epoxy and then to the output.

I called Mouser to see if they had big thick blocks of black epoxy and maybe to see if they had a spec sheet for it. They hung up on me.

I've emailed Paul Crowther and he told me it's not true bypass, rather it has a buffered output. Although the one I had was covered in grey coloured gunk, not black. Maybe a different rev.
