Hi all,

a question to all the gurus out there.

I want to use a dual op amp to optionally invert the wet signal in a McMeat (with a switch). Since I just need one of the two op amps of the NE5532 I wondered whether I can leave the unused pins (inputs and output) free or whether I should connect  them to e.g. Vref in order to avoid noise (if there is any)?

Thanks in advance,

Markus

"+" to ground

"-" and "out" connected to each other.

That will do I guess.....

On Jack Orman's site in the documentation for his mixer, he mentions that you can use a dual op-amp in place of a single if you ground out the inputs of the unused half.  I don't know anything about connecting the output to one of the inputs.  I do know from experience that grounding out both inputs does indeed work.

Thanks a lot guys!!!

I will try both variants and tell you which one works better.
